How to Use | Spicy Steamed Dishes

Best For spicy steamed pork, ribs, chicken, or fish.

 

Ingredients (Guide)

  • Pork belly / ribs / chicken / fish  About 400–600 g

  • JHJ Spice Powder (Spicy Flavour) × 1 sachet

  • Water or rice wine  1–2 tablespoons

  • Cooking oil (optional)  1 tablespoon (for a smoother texture)

  • Vegetables (optional)  potato, pumpkin, kumara, etc.

 

Method

1. Coat & marinate
    Mix the meat with the coating mix and water or rice wine until evenly coated.
    Rest for 15–20 minutes so the flavours soak in.

2. Arrange
    Place the coated meat onto a plate. Add vegetables if using.

3. Steam
    Steam over boiling water for 25–40 minutes, until the meat is tender and cooked through.

 

Handy Tips

  • The spice level is bold — add garlic or extra chilli if you like it hotter.

  • The mix is already seasoned, so no extra salt needed.

  • Seal well after opening and keep dry.
