Chinese Seasoning For Beef
It’s a pre-made, all-in-one packet of Chinese spices used to season the cooking liquid for braised dishes.
How to Use | For Braised Beef
Recommended Ingredients

Beef shank, brisket, or chuck: 1–1.5 kg

Chia Wei Chia Braising Spice (For Beef) 32g: 1 pack

Water: enough to fully cover the beef

Soy sauce (optional): 2–3 tablespoons

Spring onion, ginger, garlic (optional, for extra aroma)
Steps

Blanch the beef
Place the beef in cold water and bring to the boil.
Once boiling, remove the beef and rinse off any impurities. -
Braise
Add the beef to a pot and pour in enough water to fully cover it.
Add 1 pack of JHJ Chinese Simmering Seasoning Mix for Beef .
Optional: add soy sauce, spring onion, and ginger for extra depth. -
Slow simmer
Bring to the boil, then reduce to low heat.
Cover and simmer gently for 60–90 minutes, until the beef is tender and well infused. -
Soak for extra flavour (recommended)
Turn off the heat and let the beef sit in the braising liquid for at least 30 minutes to deepen the flavour. -
Slice & serve
Enjoy as is, or serve with noodles, rice, or vegetables.
Perfect for beef noodle soup or cold sliced beef platters.
