Cooking Method:
1. Add the bamboo shoots slices to boiling water directly and cook for 1 minute then drain.
2. Stir-fry or stew the bamboo shoots with meat or vegetables to create a tasty meal.

Braised Pork Belly with Dried Bamboo Shoots
Ingredients:
1 bowl dried bamboo shoots slices (soaked until soft)
300 g pork belly, cut into chunks
3 cloves garlic, crushed
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp rock sugar (or brown sugar)
1 tbsp rice wine
Water as needed
Instructions:
- Soak the dried bamboo shoots slices in water for about 2 hours, then cut them into shorter pieces.
- Cut the pork belly into chunks and pan-fry (without oil) until some fat is released.
- Add the garlic and stir-fry until fragrant, then mix in the bamboo shoots slices.
- Pour in soy sauce, sugar, rice wine, and enough water to cover the ingredients.
- Simmer gently on low heat for about 40 minutes until tender and flavourful.
- Reduce the sauce until slightly thickened, then serve hot.
Tip:
The bamboo shoots slices soak up the rich, savoury sauce. A perfect match with steamed rice!
